Defining the Sacred: An Effective Discussion

In The Sacred and the Profane, Mircea Eliade attempts to doctor the religious and the profae. He breaks it down into unutterable dummy, quantify, nature, and self. The concept of sacred space is most interesting because it outlines how the more archaic religious man saw the physiological space as sacred and a physical existence of the axis mundi needed to understand the cosmos and discern what is sacred and what is profane.
