The most rapture image I happen to see was while watch the Haiti Relief Effort in January 2010. I was moved by the appalling images of the devastation and destruction that happen in sort au Prince. As a teenager living move up the San Andreas Fault line, I experienced some minor seisms that agitate furniture and caused only minor damage. I never soundless what actually happen to a person who experiences a tragic natural disaster. Lastly, the earth flutter in Haiti showed me how lucky I was to be where I am today and have parents who are caring.
The earthquake in Haiti was a magnitude of 7.0 and had it epicenter on the town of Leogane only 16 miles west of demeanor au Prince. Estimates of ternary million people were directly affected by the quake and reports claim at least 230,000 people had died. The infrastructure and homes were generally all devastated and very few building was left standing.
Port au Prince and other nearby settlement in the portion suffered severe damages to it road and building. This made relief efforts dumb and difficult. Lastly, much was done to raise humanitarian aid. Many countries aided and relieve the damages done in Haiti.
In conclusion, optical images help appreciate ones position in life. Though we might not always think ourselves as lucky or even fortunate compared to other we have to appreciate what we have.
