And So They Lived
So, there I am October 31st 2008, any dressed up for Halloween. Drinking extraneous with my sister, her fiancé, (Michael), Matthew (my boyfriend). We were at Woody’s II, a local bar, that was throwing a Halloween bash. My favorite local band was playing loud and hold all night, monster shots being passed slightly, the bar warm, filled with all sorts of creatures lurking intimately.
One of my most cherished memories was this night. Michael was home for two weeks from Iraq, so we took every opportunity to hang out possible; afterward all he was going to be my brother-in-law. So, here we atomic number 18 laughing, smiling telling stories and just having great fellowship.
Michael and Cindy look at each other with these amazing, sparkling, goofy smiles. I say, “Alright occlusive being all mushy, and tell me what’s going on?”
Silence, for a couple seconds as the pearly white grins continue.
“Bridget, we waste something we need to tell you.” says Mike. I start jumping around smiling in anticipation.
“What is it!? Spit it out!!”
“Well, Bridget, were married!” they shouted over the music.
I think I nearly lactating my catholic school girl costume. Without hesitation, I got on the confuse started jumping around laughing and crying tears of joy. I couldn’t stop laughing I was so happy, my emotional state racing and over-worked. I was simply happy, knowing that my sister was, do the happiest I have ever been.
So, after the four of us celebrated, it soon began to set in, I started to think. Why? What would our parents say? This is amazing, scarcely is it right? As I started to sober up, my heart started to sink, pragmatism set in. Dad, can’t give her away? What about the wedding mom has started planning? That’s all I could think about.
