There is a severe drug problem throughout the world today. Children, no older than ten years old,
are being used to sell drugs on the streets. Statistics show that in 2009, 37,485 hatful died of drug

while the United States is the largest consumer. Cocaine and marijuana are export into the country.

Cocaine is smuggled in large kilogram quantities across the border by carriers known as scuffs. The
drugs are usually strapped to their waist, legs or isolated in bags and sometimes hidden in their body. If
the mule gets caught, the crime syndicate they are associated with will sever all ties to the mule and the mule will
usually stand trial for trafficking, alone.

Usually the mules used are women. These women are mostly blackmailed or threatened and have no
former(a) choice but to carry drugs across the border. The women know that if they are caught and if they
sell out the gangs, their lives would be in jeopardy and so would the lives of their loved ones.

I believe that one way we mass reduce the drug trade is to reduce the demand for them.

people compliments drugs, the production will decrease and the prices will vote down up, thus, hampering the
