My Mas Life Cheryl Wickham Composition I-5 Elaine Childs 3 August 2010 My Mas Life It all started about 10 years ago. mamma was having problems with her breathing. Her breathing got worse with time, so the doctor decided to establish her on oxygen. As time went on her breathing act to get worse. She had to retire from work, which she loved to do. almost 3 years ago her husband of 30 years passed away. Moms health continued to get worse after losing dad. About 6 months ago she decided she could no longer drive, so I took the step of a daughter to make authorized she was taken care of. On June 25th, Ma was to undergo functioning on her carotid artery. While in the operating inhabit there was a problem. The doctor came out to let me recognize what had happened and the surgery did non take place. She had to stay in the infirmary for 10 days. On July 6th she was moved to a rehab circle round for therapy. After rehab she was going to come and live with me. Something drastic happened on July 9th which made her return to the hospital. On the morning of July 12th we wooly Ma due to complications. We are grieving her loss, but she is not suffering anymore.

On the morning of July 12th, the last few hours of Mas life her sight was the first to go she verbalize that everything was blurry. She knew by the smell of us that we were there with her. Her taste was politic there for water and applesauce. She was cold to spot but stated that she was warm. Her hearing seemed to be there until the last 15 proceeding when she quit responding to everyone. What I could see with my own eyes, was that Ma had suffered for a long time and her suffering was about to end. It was very touchy for me to stay beside her side and watch the way everything happened. The smell was horrible, as they call it the death smell, I think it was so problematical that I could rattling taste it; she was so cold to touch and seemed so far away.
