There are many perspectives from which one can approach the issue of writing a doctoral paper on disabled employees one of which is to analyze how a company or an organization can accommodate disabled employees.
A brief sample of such a paper is illustrated below. The month of October is usually regarded as the month of National Disability Employee Awareness, which was created to recognize the skills and contributions of the American employees who are disabled.
For many companies ranging from the very small ones to the mid-sized companies, having one or more of their employees become suddenly disabled, either due to illness of an accident, can be a very daunting task especially if this is happening to the employer for the very first time.
If fact, a good number of employers have no idea of how they can go about accommodating a disabled employee and this can result in a detrimental situation for all the parties involved. Another very interesting fact is that it is only about one in 10 employers who know that there is a probability of approximately 30 percent of a worker aged 35-65 suffering from a disability and this is according to a 2002 study that was carried out by the American council of life insurers.
If an employer has not taken any steps to prepare himself or the entire organization on how a disabled employee can be accommodated in the organization, then chances are that the organization is lacking the necessary tools that would enable the organization deal with such a situation should it occur. When one is not prepared for something, things can get out of control.
