Writing services within the country is on the limelight and more restrictions are bound to be imposed on it. The ministry has issued a statement criticizing writing services to the public and specifically to students in learning institutions.
The statement has also criticized those companies providing “buy essays” to students. Currently, the rate at which students buy essays from these companies in writing services is high and the government is concerned about the quality of the education system. According to the statement, students buy essays when they ought to personally write their papers.
All companies in writing services will be monitored closed by government agents to ensure that they do not provide students with “buy essays” unnecessarily. To facilitate this, the companies will be required to register with the government for the second time.
Students who have had a habit of seeking assistance from writing services and buy essays written by such companies will no longer have easy access to the writing services. The ministry has however provided exceptions to the restriction; international students and physically challenged students may buy essays. It will therefore be the responsibility of companies to determine if the student really falls within the above mentioned category.
However, this decision may not be effective since there are many firms providing online writing services and therefore students can buy essays from them. It will be very difficult for the government to monitor writing services provided online. With the modern technologies, it is very difficult to control malpractices among students in learning institutions and who knows, buy essays may only be one of them. I suggest that we should try and encourage students to limit access to “buy essays”.
