Abstract
Naturalistic observations are a qualitative method of collecting information or data from a difficult to collect environment, whilst also having mundane realism. A nursery environment was filmed in which a group of iii young children were universe shown how to build a tower surface of wooden blocks. This action was observed and lasted for 2 and a one-half minutes. The childrens behaviour was monitored and recorded using a special coding system developed by the researchers. A watch chart was employ in the coding system; this was used as a quick method of recording the childrens behaviour as they learned for further analysis. Piagets hypothesis of password and noetic growth and also Vygotskys social theory and compared to given the results.
Introduction
The observation of children can be strenuous as yet has its rewards. This is considered to be the main focal area of this observational report, a video tape of a nursery dyad.
This report looks to translate and explain the carefully selected behaviours using the theories of the influential Lee Vygotsky and blue jean Piaget who are considered by many in the field to be the most established developmental psychologists.
