Furthermore, as seen in the title, we can see that the story is not in linear way rather it is circular, a dream within a dream, where none of the characters are utterly real as exposed by fire.
Through fire, the wizards imagined watchword acquires a resemblance of reality, but the wizard realizes himself that he also is an illusion. In this aspect, the wizard and his imagined son are almost the resembling character. Each is being dreamed and in turn is imagine someone else into existence. He spends the majority of his time asleep, creating shadows of reality in his mind.
