Selena Quintanilla-Perez was born on April 16, 1971 in Lake Jackson Texas. When she was more or less tenner her father formed a group called Selena Y Los Dinos. They gained popularity in the western states where there was a wide population of Mexicans. Selena Y Los Dinos first success was when Selena won Female Vocalist of the year and Performer of the year at theTejano Music Awards. Since then they won many categories for consecutive eld. Chris Perez then joined the group and was the guitarist. He and Selena dated and Selenas father Disapproved of the relationship. The couple married on April 2, 1992. Months later Selena met Yolanda, the president of her lover club, and they became great friends. 3 years passed and Selenas father noticed that money was missing from the fan club. He accused Yolanda of stealing the money so he and Selena asked Yolanda if she stole it and she had no answer, she was accused guilty. Selena was betrayed. On March 31, 1995, Yolanda and Selena met to chide about the missing monies. All they did was arguing. Then Selena dismisses her from doing any fear with her. As Selena was walking away Yolanda pulled out a poor boy and shot Selena in her back. Selena died at the age of 23.
