1. Why was there a warfare in Korea in 1950?
Japan had ru guide Korea until 1945 and at the terminal of WW2 the north half of Korea had been liberated from Japanese control by the USSR and the sulfur half by the USA. The north then became Communist, led by Kim Il Sung who was trained in the USSR. The south was Anti-Communist and was led by Syngman Rhee. The two leaders were bitter rivals and a united Korea did not seem likely. In June 1950, the northeast Koreans attacked.  They were rattling successful and captured most of to the south Korea.

Ever since the 1920s America had a growing fear over fabianism and by the end of WW2 this fear was at an all magazine high. Another reason why the USA got involved in the Korean War was because of the Truman Doctrine, which stated that America would provide armament and economic aid to countries threatened by communism. This act in addition fell under the American policy of containment: preventing Communism from diffusion to other countries.

Truman believed that, if one country fell to Communism, then others would follow, like a line of dominoes.  He was worried that the Communist revolution would catch on to Korea and soon Japan.
