Although a few species are clean or even useful to humanity, most are a nuisance because they consume blood from living vertebrates, including humans. Mosquitoes can make as a vector for many diseases causing viruses and parasites. Mosquitoes -borne diseases allow yellow fever, dengue fever, malaria, lymphatic filariasis, elephantiasis, tularemia, and others. These harmful mosquitoes can be found in our place which has stagnant water, in refuse disposal, flower pots and discarded containers.
We can control and resolve these problems by means of implementing a program that can assistance us to prevent ourselves from different type of diseases came from harmful mosquitoes. And instead of get an expensive mosquito getlent, we need to think and develop alternative and twopenny-halfpenny type of repellent that are surely effective and not harmful to our health.
Lemongrass as a mosquito repellent is one demeanor of preventing ourselves from mosquito. And according to some researches it is the best plant to keep out-of-door ourselves from mosquitoes, because it has a fresh scent that keep away mosquitoes that is amiable to humans. Lemongrass are widely used for medicinal and food bear on purpose.




Some people usually plant lemongrass in the contact to drive away mosquitoes.
The result of this study will help us to keep away mosquitoes and prevent ourselves from diseases, if proven to be effective.

OBJECTIVES
This project aims to:
1. find out if cymbopogon citrullus can repel mosquitoes;
2. to make a surely effective mosquito repellent that is inexpensive.
